LONDON – Nashville-based R&B gospel artist Philip White will make his European May 27 at the Viva Las Vegas Birthday Celebration, a black-tie affair featuring Shaun Wallace from the award-winning game show, “The Chase.”

“I am so honored to be able to perform at this event,” White said. “This will give me a chance to showcase my sound for a totally new audience.”

While some contemporary gospel male artist resort to heavy hip-hop features, his music features an inspirational message tinged with R&B flavor with a voice that parallels current gospel artists such as Isaac Carree, Donnie McClurkin or even R&B artist Usher.

White is known for his radio hit, “Laid It Down,” written and produced by Juan Winans. “Laid It Down” was featured on the EP “Dj Mr Jay Presents: New Soul Vol 1.” Winans also wrote White’s second release, “From the Bottom of My Heart.”

The second single, as well as White’s “A Heart Like Mine,” will be featured on a self-titled EP that will be released soon on his independent imprint, White Hill Music. Both songs are available in iTunes.

His voice is in such demand, he’s had the opportunity to lend background vocals for the likes of Carrie Underwood, Judith McCallister, Debbie Winans and Vickie Yohe, just to name a few.

In addition to recording, White performed a concert with “The Walls Group” and sister trio “Virtue,” and has appeared live on “The Jimmy Fallon Show” and “The Dorinda Clark Cole Show.”
